About Karyn

Originally from Staten Island, NY, Karyn's obsession with Thoroughbreds started at just 3  years old, after she watched Alysheba win the Kentucky Derby. Ever since then, she has known she wanted to train racehorses.

Karyn attended SUNY Cobleskill for Thoroughbred management and graduated in 2003. Right after graduation, she took a job with Todd Pletcher at Saratoga racetrack, and the rest is history.

 

She has worked for trainers such as Larry Jones, William Fires, and Mark Casse. She went out on her own in 2016 and has maintained a small stable with a high win percentage. Karyn stables at Turfway Park and Highpointe Training Center in Kentucky. She races, mainly in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio.
